Bye bye beautiful Sydney!

All good things must come to an end, and today was the last day of my fabulous Melbourne and Sydney book week tour! I’ve had so much fun, and met so many wonderful kids, teachers and librarians in my travels. It will be great to get back to Hong Kong to my lovely family – but I will miss my beautiful homeland very much! See you all again at Chinese New Year next year!

Thank you to the Grade 3 girls of Kambala!

A big thank you to Jo Laretive of the Junior Library and the terrific Grade 3 girls of Kambala in Rose Bay, Sydney, for a wonderful afternoon this afternoon! It was wonderful to meet you and to introduce you to my Chinese Calendar Tales, especially my very sneaky Sybil Snake! It was also a very special visit for me, since my mum was a student at Kambala over 60 years ago! Special thanks to Amelia and Imogen of Grade 6 who gave me an expert guided tour of the school!

A quick visit to the gorgeous Kincoppal Kindies!

Many thanks to Helen Webster of Kincoppal-Rose Bay School of the Sacred Heart Junior School library, for a lovely hour with the clever Kindy kids today! We had a great time learning about Chinese dragons as we read The Tale of Chester Choi and talked about the animals of the Chinese Zodiac! I hope to see you all again soon!
