It’s been a funny old week this week, with a sick daughter and a sick dog, and lots of visits to doctors and vets (don’t worry, it’s nothing too serious)! So I’ve got a little bit delayed in getting the judging done for the Three Chinese Characters Story Competition! I’m sailing full steam ahead now, and hope to publish the results this weekend. So please bear with me – it won’t be long now!

A very Happy Easter to you, wherever you are! Now Easter was a time of rebirth, when Jesus was resurrected from the dead. And it’s also a time for all things new, because, of course, it’s Spring (at least here in the Northern Hemisphere :))! The trees are blossoming, the daffodils are nodding their golden heads, and everywhere there is new life: baby birds, fluffy golden chicks, new kittens and puppies, colts and calves, and lots of lambs gambolling in the meadows…. speaking of which…
There are just FIVE days left in my Shaggy Sheep Poem Competition! And there’s no better way to spend a beautiful Easter holiday than writing a fun poem about a ram, a sheep or a goat! So if you haven’t got your entry in now, you’d better get cracking! See my Clever Competitions page above for all the rules! The deadline date is Friday 10th April!

Hellooooo to all my friends and fans in Shanghai and Beijing! Rodney Ram and I and the rest of the Chinese Calendar Tales family are flying up to Shanghai this afternoon to visit 8 fabulous schools in Shanghai and Beijing from Monday 9th March to Wednesday 18th March! We can’t wait to see you all!

Back home in Hong Kong – and Morrison Academy in Taiwan enters the fray!

It’s good to be home with my family and my gorgeous dog Bobby (here he is pretending to be a stuffed toy so he doesn’t have to have a bath!) The weather’s still a little chilly, but all the birds are singing madly around our apartment on the edge of Tai Po Kau nature reserve, and the hills are green and beautiful!
And what a lovely surprise I got today to receive 15 fabulous entries from Morrison Academy Kaohsiung in Taiwan in my Clever Competition! Taiwan has officially entered the fray!
