Thank you to the wonderful kids and staff of SIS for a fantastic day today, and especially to their wonderful librarian Fanny Kwok! Rhonda Rabbit and I bounced in for some great reading sessions, and I also met an author who was only 8 years old when his book was published!! See my next post for all the details!

Introducing Joseph K. S. Chan, a Grade 3 student who I met today at SIS. He showed me his amazing book called The Simple Guide to Extinct Primates (that’s monkeys and apes to you and me!) which was published this year by KidPubPress in the United States. Joseph spent the entire last summer holidays researching and writing the book, when he was just 8 years old! Joseph tells me that the book is available on Amazon.com if you’d like to buy it! I think that’s just fantastic. What an inspiration to all you other budding authors out there!
