Hooray! It’s almost the Year of the Ox!
And to celebrate that wise and sensible animal, it’s time we had another Clever Competition!
The Oxcellent Ox Tale Competition is an international story writing competition open to any student of primary school age living anywhere in the world! Go to my Clever Competition page right away to find out all about it! The deadline is in 8 weeks’ time, on the 28th March, so you’ve got lots of time to enter :).

Time’s up in my Practically Perfect Pig Tale Competition, and it’s time to start judging your fabulous entries! I’ve had over 50 magnificent entries from schools in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Melbourne, Sydney and Chicago – so it might take me a little bit of time!
So please be patient, all you clever writers out there, and Ping Pong Pig and I will be singing out the results as soon as we can!

Hello all my lovely followers out there! I’ve been away on summer holidays with my family, and have just had a fantastic time in Melbourne for Book Week, and now I’m back on deck here in Hong Kong! So it’s high time for another challenge for you budding writers!
This time you must write a poem about a Perfect Pet! It can be your pet, or a pet you’d love to have, or even somebody else’s pet! It can any sort of pet – from an ant to an elephant, so long as it’s a pet you’d love to have!

The deadline is Sunday, 28th October, so get out your pen and paper, and start writing now! I can’t wait to read your entry!
