Three fabulous days with the writers of Western Academy Beijing!
October 22, 2013 at 4:23 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a commentHuge thanks to Jennifer Glittenberg and a big hello to the 22 talented teen writers of Western Academy Beijing who joined me on a 3 day writing workshop adventure from 9th to 11th October! After an introductory session at the school on Wednesday afternoon, and a talk to the mums and dads of WAB as part of WAB’s Distinguished Speaker series that evening, we departed next morning for a scenic drive to the school’s fabulous eco-friendly camp in the mountains at Miao Liang, complete with solar energy panels, eco-cabins and yurts! I thoroughly enjoyed working with the students, through intensive story planning to first drafts. Their stories were very impressive indeed and I look forward to seeing the final products!
