Introducing Joseph K. S. Chan, a Grade 3 student who I met today at SIS. He showed me his amazing book called The Simple Guide to Extinct Primates (that’s monkeys and apes to you and me!) which was published this year by KidPubPress in the United States. Joseph spent the entire last summer holidays researching and writing the book, when he was just 8 years old! Joseph tells me that the book is available on Amazon.com if you’d like to buy it! I think that’s just fantastic. What an inspiration to all you other budding authors out there! And you can practise your writing by entering my new Clever Competition right away – see the Competition page above for all the details! Thanks Joseph – it was an honour to meet you.
Here’s the information on Amazon about Joseph’s book:

March 11, 2011 at 1:33 am | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a commentThanks to the fabulous kids and staff of WISS and BISS Pudong in Shanghai and their wonderful librarians Fiona Collins and Jenny Overman for two great days last week! Rhonda had a terrific time hopping around the schools, and it was gratifying to find that most of you were NOT cat lovers (at least not the evil kind of cat). PHEW! There’ll be more photos on my March update for my website in a couple of weeks!
Here’s me with the big guys at WISS – they were pretty cool kids!

And with two of the prizewinners in the Friends of Rhonda Rabbit drawing competition at BISS Pudong – see my website for more photos soon!
