You’ve got to hand it to the kids of Canadian International School Hong Kong – they’ve been busy sending me horribly scary haikus for the last couple of weeks! But what’s happened to all you other kids out there? Where are you all? Have you been kidnapped by an alien from the planet Zurg ? Or maybe you’ve just glued all your fingers to your lunchbox?? Or has your brain been occupied by an evil brain-occupying octopus??? I’m worried about you! Quick, send me an entry into my Haunting Haiku competition to prove to me that you’re still alive!   Details on my Competitions Page!

Congratulations to Brittany Arthur of P6.3, Sha Tin Junior School, winner of my Laugh Out Loud Limerick Competition! Brittany wrote a very clever limerick about an old lady and a “quorum”. I was very impressed by her knowledge of such a difficult word and what it meant, and her technical ability in getting the rhyme and timing requirements of a limerick just right! Go to my Competitions page to see her winning entry, and the wonderful entries of the nine runners up!

And go to my Wicked Word page to find out all about that wonderful word “quorum”!

What a fun afternoon that was! 37 kids and I had a fabulous time today when I went to Kennedy School for a reading of The Tale of Temujin, while the talented Stuart Miller and Jennifer Deayton filmed a video of the event! Watch out – that video will be on my website before you know it!
