So tomorrow, the judging of my Clever Competition begins! Thanks to all of you who took part – I can’t wait to read all your poems again! The Tale of a Dark Horse gallops off to an early start in Australia!

The sun was shining, the Chinese lanterns glowed, and the kids opened lai see packets and rode ponies after the very first launch and story-telling of my Tale of a Dark Horse at the Secret Garden Bookshop on Mt Tamborine in Queensland today! There was even a real live Dark Horse to enjoy the occasion! Many thanks to the lovely Janene Gardner and Mary Marks (first picture above) for hosting a fabulous event!
