NEE NOO WOP! WHAT A WOPPING COMPETITION!

WOW! GEE WHIZZIKINS!! NEE NOO WOP!!! That was a HUGE competition! With 84 entries from 9 schools all around Asia, judging my latest Clever Competition – A Martian Christmas Story Competition – has been a GARGANTUAN effort worthy of a MEGA-MARTIAN! A big hello and thank you to all the lovely K3 kids and teachers at Victoria South Horizons! We had a wonderful afternoon today, learning all about the Chinese Zodiac animals with Pin Yin Panda – it was fun!

A big thank you to Leanne Sercombe and the clever kids of Primary One for a fabulous day of learning about writing stories! We learnt all about characters, settings and the different types of stories, as well as building story mountains! It was fun! And it was even more fun introducing you all to my lovely Sybil Snake – sssssssss!

Time’s up in my Martian Christmas Story Writing Competition and a big THANK YOU to all you fabulous writers who sent me such wonderful stories! I can’t wait to read them all! I’ll be starting the judging shortly, and will let you all know by the end of next week who the finalists are! Keep on writing!

Wow that was fun! This morning I went to the ABC3 studios in Melbourne to record some special footage for Chinese New Year viewing around Australia! I had so much fun talking to presenters Amberley and Kaled about Chinese New Year and my new book The Tale of Sybil Snake – and I even got to throw two cream pies in Kaled’s face! I’ve been dreaming of throwing cream pies since I was a kid! Thanks Amberley, Kaled, fabulous producer Conor Ayres and the whole team at ABC3 for a funny and fabulous time!
